Next Mile Location Technology (Next Mile) is a technology company that helps customers within the transport and logistics industry (government and commercial sector), track and move assets efficiently, safely and quickly across a city or country. The team is looking for a Sales Development Representative who is a strong communicator, well organised, enthusiastic and eager to learn. If you are someone who is on their way up in the world, this could be for you. Your role will involve developing and converting a sales pipeline as well as managing existing clients, ensuring they are well serviced and exploring opportunities for further use of HERE Technologies.


This could mean:

  • Helping a transport department understand how to maximise the throughput of cars across a city, by measuring and optimising traffic congestion levels

  • A retail company meeting its same day delivery SLA’s and maximising its customer satisfaction scores, by tracking the location of parcels and dynamically optimising delivery routes based on multiple parameters such as: traffic conditions, delivery time windows, driver shift times, vehicle types, fuel costs;

  • An emergency services department saving a life, house or community, by getting the right resources to the right place, at the right time

When it comes to your future role with Next Mile, you will…

  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline.

  • Efficiently respond and qualify inbound marketing leads.

  • Help create and prioritise target account lists within a defined territory or industry.

  • Research and build new and existing accounts (i.e.: adding contacts, emails, strategic calling).

  • Evangelise HERE Technologies Location Services and Content.

  • Achieve monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and closed business.

  • Update and maintain customer information within the company CRM.

  • Write proposals and deliver engaging customer presentations.

  • Liaise with HERE Technologies to deliver high levels of service.

To be successful, you will need…

  • Four years prior experience with lead generation, business development, inside sales and account management.

  • Successful quota or KPI attainment with a demonstrated track record of success.

  • Experience researching, prospecting, selling and closing net new business opportunities.

  • Previous experience making high volume outbound calls.

  • Experience working within a partner channel or with a SaaS technology vendor.

  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal and organisational skills.

  • Proven ability to work within time constraints and to a deadline.

  • Passionate about learning and growing professionally.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Adaptable to a fast-evolving technology landscape.

  • Friendly and affable personality.

 

Highly desirable skills…

  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator and HubSpot (CRM and Marketing Automation) experience.

  • Knowledge of the Transport and Logistics industry –e.g. Last Mile delivery, Route Optimisation, Asset Tracking, Address Validation, Heavy Vehicle Restrictions.

  • Professional sales training certifications – e.g. SPIN.

  • Knowledge of Location Technology API’s or content.

  • Understanding SaaS licensing and pricing models.
